Rules and Regulations
The parade starts at 6:00 pm. You must be at the designated area no later than 5:30 p.m., and ready for the 6:00 pm start. If you require additional set-up time, please let us know. Entries arriving later than 6:00 pm will not be entered in the parade.
Final inspection of entries for adherence to regulations may be made up to and including the parade start time. Pay special attention to uncovered tires, loose ropes, sharp objects or anything which may harm participants or spectators. All participants are responsible for ensuring that the design and operation of their entry is safe and reliable. Safety of participants and the general public is a top priority. Safety is the ultimate responsibility of each individual entry.
Alcoholic beverages and smoking are forbidden. Any participant under the influence will be removed from the parade.
Should any entry not meet parade rules, the Chairperson of the parade will have the final say as to the suspension or cancellation of the parade entry. The right to remove an entry may be exercised at any time, before or during the parade, by the Chairperson of the parade or designate.
Please respect other Parade Entries, just as you wish your Entry to be respected.
Waiver: I fully understand that participation may involve a risk of injury to myself and/or personal property. I hereby acknowledge, understand and agree that by signing this waiver, I assume all injury, risk and liability that may arise from this event. I shall not hold the Chairperson of the Parade Committee and/or the Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society responsible for any injury, risk and/or damage to my parade entry. I HAVE READ AND VOLUNTARILY SIGN THE RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE RULES OF THE PARADE AND AGREE TO COMPLY UNDER PENALTY OF REMOVAL FROM PARADE ACTIVITIES.
